PORTRAIT MAGIC II PRESETS

2024 was a big year of travel for me and the moody tones of my current portrait pack just wasn’t working. Many of my edits required bright, punchy tones to suit the countries I visited, many of which were in Southern Europe and the Mediterranean.

Though I don’t use these at home in Scotland too often they are a huge timesaver when I’m travelling and as always I have worked hard to fine-tune these presets so they work as a base for you to edit your images.

**A word on presets if you’ve not bought any before: A lot of people think they’re a one-click magic button that make photos look great. They’re not. They are a ‘shortcut to a starting point ‘ as I say to my clients.

They will need some adjustments, and that is also where all the fun lies! Boost the contrast, adjust the colours, change the white balance and fine-tune the tone curve are just some examples of what you can do after applying these presets. That said, these are meant to speed up the editing process and to see what direction you want to go with the edit.**
